I'm not sure I get the vibe of this story. What if we did dark academia at a summer camp? On paper it's interesting, but putting a sinister vibe on pottery lessons and camp cabins is right on the verge of silly (for me). I don't really click with it

Love the cadence of the narrator's reading.
Similar themes to La Sala's other work: queerness, a complicated relationship with modern psychology, the protagonist's insanity/questioning his grip on reality, a grand conspiracy surrounding the protagonist, spiders. Enjoying it so far.

God what a joy Gailey's writing is

I don't think I can finish this story, it sucks so bad. And the last story sucked too. I might have to quit this book, I'm so close to being done but i just dont think i can carry on.

Also, I get the feeling the author is not a parent? Sure as hell doesn't know how babies act. Weirdly high number of characters willing to abandon their children. Just bad all around.
