Would anyone please help this girl out and recommend some heartwarming, or gutwrenching, or any emotional books with little to no spice. Lately, I’m finding myself not caring about spice. I’m in the mood for books where spice is minimal/fade to black, and the focus is emotional connection. Also, I’m a sucker for hand holding, foreheads touching, etc. The more emotional the book, the better🥺

Safe to say the last 4 books I read did not hit. I don’t know what’s happening. I have few books that I really, like really, want to read, some of them supposedly emotional, and I’m afraid they won’t hit, but I want to love them. Like what’s going on with reading lately? Is it me/my mood? Are the books and the romance not as satisfying anymore? Am I in an MM slump? All the above? Sigh😮‍💨😕

Dominic shouldered his way between me and Ignacio and pinned the other man with a stare so cold it sent shivers down my spine.
To his credit, Ignacio didn’t back down. “Hey man, what’s the deal?” His tone was friendly, but wariness filled his expression. “We were dancing.”
“And now you’re not,” Dominic said, his tone deadly calm. “Do we have a problem?”

Well, my reading slump is at it’s peak😏 So I’ve been watching more tv, and the new miniseries on Netflix based on Harlan Coben’s novel “I will find you” is sooo freaking good. The twists are mindblowing🤯 The end of episode 7 had my jaw on the floor cus what the hell?!!! I did not expect that😳😱🤯 Highly recommend!

Me wondering why I’m not in any mood to read, but also me 24/7 replaying “God, you look good” and “Because you’re mine” in Nick Leister (Matthew Broome) voice. 2 more days until they are on my screen🙌🏼 Yes, I am obsessed with the London version. I watched My Fault London too many times🫣 And yes, I know what will happen in Your Fault London and I hate it but I still love them😩💔

I saw a tiktoker/booktoker/influencer mocking people who are liking/enjoying Every Year After more than Off Campus, and calling the new show corny and being Hallmark/lifetime. Well, not everyone want to see tits, ass, and penises on our screen. So, sue me if I’m enjoying my “Hallmark” tv show. I swear some people never heard of subjectivity. Social media and its people used to be more tolerable🙄

So, I’ve already watched 2 episodes of Every Year After. And no, I didn’t read the book cus I knew what the spoiler is and that book is not for me. But since I don’t have any connection to the book, I wouldn’t care about any changes. Safe to say, I really like the show so far. I even got emotional a few times🥺 The acting is good, and you can feel their chemistry and their longing.
