if you like historical mm, i can't recommend Whistling in the Dark and The Only Gold enough!! both by Tamara Allen and both fade to black and slow burn/tender. some of my favourite books ever 😭

Tamara Allen is very nice for low steam historical romance. Also The Bachelor's Valet and Sailor's Delight.

Not historical: maybe In Memoriam and Green Tea and Pink Apples, Granddad's Cup of Tea.

These are all more in the heart-warming category.

Hi 👋 I saw this since Kassu commented and I totally get where you're coming from. I get that feeling every now and then.

A while back I was reading A Touch of Maple and I was so surprised that there was no spicy bits at all (not the usual M.O. for this author). It's a "closed door romance", so no steamy scenes. And I felt like it actually added to the story. It's a low-angst, small town and very sweet, but with some sad undertones. I'd say it's heart warming.

Merry and Bright was one of my favorite books from the ones I read last year. It's all feels and no sex. One MC is ace and the other is neurodivergent. There's not much handholding to start with, so that might be a downside for you. But it's really heartwarming.

The Seventh Swan is a super short one with lots of feels. It's more of a fairy tale than a fantasy. It has some sad moments but is heartwarming in the end.

Honey Mead Murder is the coziest cozy mystery I've read so far. The main focus is the mystery plot but there's also a lot of feels. To quote my review: "It's full of friends and family. The teapots are always full and there's baked goods left and right. There are cute dogs, comforting hugs and an entire village full of supportive people ready to give you a helping hand if needed." It's high on affection, super low on spice.

I could probably think of a few gutwrenching ones as well, but I think most of them would be a bit higher on the steamlevels.

I hope you'll find something you feel like reading. I'll be taking notes of the other recommendations here. ☺️

you could try Susanna Kearsley, some of her books are older but they do have nice romances, all fade to black.
