umm, wow.

GR, my wife introduced me to this one. said it was a cozy book, and cozy it has been! i’m usually doing dishes or putting my bébé to sleep when listening. and it’s a vibe. dnd coded, and not the do not disturb one. makes me wanna go adventuring with my daughter. just put her in a hobbit outfit and go trek the woods. highkey that would be a neat photoshoot idea. 👀👀👀

GR! damn it’s been a solid minute. quick update. i havnt touched a book or a kindle in a fat minute. My friend Lauren encouraged me to try audiobooks(AB) again, i havnt AB’d since 2019 when i was riding the amtrak from SD->OC. anyway, this has been on my TBR shelf for a while & started the AB! DUDE. i’m flying through this book. AB ftw ngl fr.

GR, tbh i’ve been watching anime’s over reading and when i can read i scroll threads. damn you quick dopamine hit doom scrolling! anyway, still tryna get some traction on this book so i can move in to others i’ve been wanting to get into. remember when i read project hail mary a while ago, i’m watching the movie in imax in a couple weeks! sooo stoked!!

GR, you know how when you open the app it has a quote by someone. i can never read the whole thing cuz my phone loads up too fast. anyway, i try to read a page or two between feedings, changing diapers and waking daisy. i get the bulk of time in the late hours when i’m rocking bébé in the chair, like i’m doing currently. because this book is smaller than the last one I’m hoping to get done with it sooner!

GR, boom! didn’t see me coming huh? big ol jump from 45 to 75 percent wassup. highkey 9pm is prime bedtime ngl. but imma try sd tough it out tonight cuz i’m staying up with baby girl til her next feeding in 4 hours. realllyyy tryna burn through this book while holding onto awareness. but the eyes are heavy, the air is comfy, the vibes are vibey. also, f*ck ice.

GR, now that it’s finally public i can share that readings been on the back burner due to late. nights helping wifey feed our baby girl. i finally cracked and got my thicc book on my kindle so it’s easier to hold when going skin to skin. pat leave is dope, but i’m spending most of it catching up on sleepless nights. not complaining! highkey i’m loving this time. anyway, prolly gonna slow down a bit. is ok.

GR, i’m doing laundry the day after xmas. sunset is nice, warm, sun rays shoot through the window creating strong contrast lines. great for photos. feels like i’m crawling through this book at a quicker pace. i’m not reading daily but when i do i feel i go through chapters pretty quickly. it’s been fun exploring through carls current floor, they gone through so much ish together. loving the book.

hey goodreads(gr), i’m finding myself balancing my
time between gaming, reading, and watching “abandoned” YouTube videos. although I do give most of my time to gaming, the times i do get into the book are so good! i’ve started to chip away at the book in the mornings b4 the sun comes up, it’s been really nice. I’ll make coffee or tea & post up by the window where the light hits just right.

sup diary, it me. ya boi. back into the dungeon i go! finished a horror series side quest and now i’m back on this dungeon crawl! i’ve come to peace with not hitting my yearly goal but tbh i don’t give a rip, i read so much this year. i’m happy where i am. this current book is a (bold, italicized) thicc one. like a fat piece of rib eye steak my friend eric cooked up for me. like 32oz i might die. nom nom 4 me

i’m loving this new font in the keyboard. it’s…its good i think. anyway, they made the reveal of a…well i’ll let you read the book and find out for yourself. Alex Easton is really getting some miles in these books, i’m enjoying reading them and daisy’s enjoying laying on me as i’m reading so imma get back to that. what a ride it’s been, enjoying every page.

dear diary, highkey this book has been highkey such a fun read in its own way. along the same vibes as the first book but creepy in its own lane. no nightmares yet so i think i’m good. posted up with my cozy blanket hoodie i bought at b&n, some classical music playing with vibe lights on, it’s a whole thing. reading is an art. put some respect on it. anyway, gonna go play video games now k love you byeee

getting back into this book feels like taking a good bite out of something delicious…savory and juicy…like steak? but…also creamy and comforting like ice cream. either way, getting back into it is rewarding.

toons. break to play video games but the itch of getting back into this story was too strong. lol not me telling myself i wouldn’t do any more side quests until i finished the crawler series. as if.

It’s last of us coded. and i looove it.

sometime ago i started this but couldn’t get into it. it went back on the bookshelf. I finished the 5th dungeon crawler carl book and then took a couple weeks off to edit photos i took at a wedding, in north carolina, and my friends family photos i took (which came out pretty freakin dope btw). Anyway, started this again, and i am SINKING my teeth into it. super loving it. thanks to my friend Meli for the recc.

even when i travel for work i never truly adjust to eastern time. making my bedtime around 230am. although i wake up PT, on ET i get a ton of reading done. anyway, am gonna try to finish this by the time i get home.

finally got this book on my kindle. easier to carry around, packs lighter for trips, but i’d be lying if i said i didn’t miss that book in my hands.

another little nibble into this book. stakes are rising, slowly but surly. i am serious, and don’t call me surly.

thicc books aren’t so bad if you’re aggressive with it. i feel i’ve gotten through a good chuck of it in the last couple days.

i forget to update this sometimes. but the last couple times i’ve read it’s been a big ol hoot. carl and princess donuts friendship is and continues to be so incredibly wholesome. theres been 2 times where i’ve had my water and recently it happened again with carl and princess donut. this book is amazing.

i can’t pinpoint where, but somewhere in the last few pages of reading something switched in my brain switched where i’m tryna indulge more in the story than i am tryna finish the book…idk if that makes sense. i want more of the story so finishing a thicc book isn’t as intimidating as it used to be. idk, that’s just how it makes sense in my head. lol character count who? i’ll use up every space i can. lol

this book is a chonky boi. and if i had a free 24 hours id nap and read my way through it, but alas, i have responsibilities and an early morning. also! i’ve never been so excited to get back to reading this series as i am now. big fun. much carnage. many pages to go.

and now we return to your regularly scheduled program. no more side quests, let’s finish this series…aiming for this book and the next by end of the year.

after a looong hiatus from picking this book up, i’m back in it! learning new things not just for kids but for myself. Relearning old lessons and discovering how they were warped or changed to fit a narrative. this book is a gem, and i’m glad it was recommended to me.
