I did a lot of chores today. 🙃

On the fence. This book falls into a category that I call ‘existential reads’, which aren’t really my forte; I feel pretty meh about them in general. Probably also why memoirs don’t do it for me either.

This book is kinda the epitome of the type of fantasy books I dislike.

Oh wait, I think it’s Mr. Strange’s dad that is the piece of shit.

I was hoping that when Mr. Strange was finally introduced he’d uplift the story, but no, he’s a piece of shit.

Every time I’ve looked at this book in my holds I’ve told myself that it’ll probably be a DNF.

Working on clearing out some VERY old library holds. Not sure I’ll be continuing this series, not because I don’t like it but because I have other things I’m more excited about.

I finished my r/Fantasy Bingo reads and my GR challenges so now I don’t know what to do with the last two days of the month.

Enjoying the world-building and of course Ana’s snark.

This book has kinda lost the plot for me with the start of part three.

Doing a tandem physical/audiobook read for the first time. I am finding that I like the parts I read with my eyeballs more, which is unfortunate since I don’t have as much time to read physical books as I do to multitask while listening to audiobooks.

I took a long break from this book, and I’m glad I did because I’m enjoying it much more now. I stopped right before one the mosaic chapters and decided I would attempt it and DNF if I wasn’t feeling invested afterwards. Story definitely picked up after about the 1/3rd mark.

Well this took a weird, unpleasant turn…
