I think if you didn’t have an idea of who Ru was, this book wouldn’t be for you. Anthony Bourdain’s memoir or Carrie Fisher’s books are relatable for a lot of people, but I think if you aren’t into Ru or LGBTQ+ issues or drag then there would be a lot that you don’t understand. Buuuut Ru talking about drug use and alcoholism is veeeerrry important
