this is so off topic but i love the way the grief in this book is written. usually it's one big burst of grief and pain and death and then the characters move on and never mention it again, but in this book it's a continuous thing that doesn't end just because the characters gone, it keeps coming back, and it's unclear if it's ever going to go away, which i really like

something tells me im not going to like the hybrid council.

i feel like this book gets better the more it goes on, which is great because when it's the other way around it's unbearable

a real(ish) slow burn, how ive missed those. seriously though, the tension is eating me alive in the best way possible

ive had fifty million crash outs reading this, and i think i have whiplash from how quickly i went from crashing out to being like "aww" or "ohh😏😏" in the first like 20%. either way this is fun and im enjoying it

this ending better be the happiest ending of happy endings for all the trouble these poor characters have gone through 😭

this earth crossover thing is really weird and tbh i don't think it matches the vibe/plot. it would've been more fun if the other world was another fantasy land and not... earth. kind of anticlimactic imo

why Goodreads said i was like 300 pages in, i don't know but oh well. this is my first reread of onyx storm and im super excited!! i was sleep deprived as fuck the first time i read it so now i get to enjoy it again, and actually retain more information than i did the last time
