Gothics really lend themselves to being adapted... this should be a movie (specifically a movie, not a TV series!)

Powerful, visceral, gut wrenching.

This book does not sugar coat the realities of our very own world in this very moment, closer to your home than you may realize. Highly recommend, though be ready to take breaks to process the horrors this powerful woman has endured, then remember that you are merely reading it, while she and many other continue to live it.

Truly motivating to change the world.

So so so good. This needs to be a movie.

However, so so so many needles and so much needle talk. Had to take breaks from getting too grossed out.

If you enjoy the gothic genre (which I thought I didn’t), read this! Unless needles are a problem… then don’t.

I understand why people like the Gothic genre now, I’m already hooked
