Highly recommend, though be ready to take breaks to process the horrors this powerful woman has endured, then remember that you are merely reading it, while she and many other continue to live it.

So so so good. This needs to be a movie.

However, so so so many needles and so much needle talk. Had to take breaks from getting too grossed out.

If you enjoy the gothic genre (which I thought I didn’t), read this! Unless needles are a problem… then don’t.

I understand why people like the Gothic genre now, I’m already hooked

Already intrigued

While book one was a 4-star ruined by a 2-star third act, this is a consistently 3-3.5-star book throughout.

I think the premise made me expect a different book, but if you liked book one/Navessa Allen's writing you'll probably like this one too

Mid but bingeable

Junior is an unsexy name and his narrator is honestly a lot weaker than reviews lead me to believe

Lauren, however, is an interesting character and I like both her POV and the quality of her narrator (really emotive, it feels like a real person talking about real upset)

An excellent story about rage and trauma with a really positive ending in my opinion

Also I love when I guess right

Mia is 100% either the wolf that bit her or a red herring

The prose is way better now but still has these odd one-off lines that completely break my immersion

Overall genuinely enjoying it tho, it's got me turning pages!

The prose feels pretty weak but maybe its a matter of opinion? I'm enjoying enough tho

So well written; There is clear narrative voice, excellent weaving of history, facts, and solutions into the real-life story of Henry.

This book manages to make TB just palatable enough to allow readers to learn without being put off my too much gore, while maintaining the clear reality of its severity and the causes of its continued prevalence despite being 100% curable.

I will need to sit on this before rating.
