I literally can’t get past the dedication…I’m shook…another glass of wine and I’ll start the story.

If this wasn’t a Lucy Score book, I would have DNF’d after chapter 1. I do not know why I’m continuing to read it, I am not enjoying this at all.

Seriously trying to decide if I can finish this book. When I realized I was only halfway through, I wanted to scream. This heroine is the worst and her poor husband. Not sure I have it in me to finish.

DNF at 20%. Can’t take it anymore - both characters are annoying and I’m already tired of the way they are acting. I didn’t realize this is new adult romance - I prefer something more mature.

Nora Roberts needs to change her pen name to Debbie Downer. I’m on chapter 5 and ready to walk away, but have a hard time ever DNF’ing a book. Blech!!!!

Good grief! Emma/Taylor is back and now her kid is either Caleb or Ty depending on the sentence. How confusing? Whoever edited this book should not have been paid!!

Holy editing Batman. Faith is having drinks with her best friend Taylor...wait...she's Emma in the next paragraph...oh wait...now she's Taylor again...I will persevere and hope this mystery friend just goes away and stops confusing me.

It's as if the author sat down and said to herself, "How many unlikeable characters can I put in one book? Or better yet, if I have a likeable character what horrible things can I have had happen to them?" Life's too short to read bad books, yet here I am...

Definitely better than the original version. Makes more sense so far and is more cohesive.

Yes - I'm back to 0. After posting my comment yesterday, I received an email that I'm reading an old ARC version and that the book has been heavily revised and I should read the new one. This one better be better because the thought of wasting more time re-reading this gives me pause. Life's too short to read bad books. Stay tuned to see how the new version is...

DNF'ng for now. Not my thing, but I'll finish before the end of the year for the reading challenge.

I hate books with changing POV's. Even worse the time periods are different too. I really hope this doesn't get too confusing.

I just want this book to end! I'm skimming at this point because I'm so vested now I want to see how it ends.

Someone help me...either I've already read this book years ago or it's a knock off of a Mary Higgins Clark book and I don't know which one. I know I've read a book where two kids are kidnapped and then the boy accidentally dies. Ugh!

Ok - so I had this thought reading book 1 when we had a character named Daniel Gavin, but now I'm convinced Erin Nicholas is a huge fan of Lorelei James' Rough rider series. Phoebe is happy because her friend named her baby Macie and she and her friends are now talking about the hot cowboy books they pass back and forth between them. This series is definitely growing on me now!

If this wasn't an ARC, I'm not sure I'd try to finish. This is painful to get through!!
