Haha, first chapter and we already have Carrie deciding in her head that her love/ex/whatever is cheating on her because of no real reason and wow this book will be just great. Why do I do this to myself.

I'm thinking this will take me a while to get through.

There sure is a lot of rape in this book. :-/

Physically annoying to read this book as something with the printing makes the text fuzzy. Mentally infuriating because of the subject matter. I imagine I will finish this quickly and then read something a bit more light-hearted.

Uhm probably not? An octave higher would be a lot. A few octaves?! Nah.

Am a bit distracted by a group named "The Oct" that has 10 members. What?! Maybe it's short for something that's not related to the number 8 but it's weird.

Author also just introduced a woman named Siegfried, which to my knowledge is mainly a male name. (In Norway, "Sigfrid" is female, though). I'm.. kind of losing my immersion when I stumble on details like this.

Yeah ok so after page 200 the plot Happened (TM). And I accidentally finished the book tonight instead of just reading a chapter or so and then playing video games.

Still not completely sure what was going on here but I think I like it.

40% through the book and I'm still waiting for the story to kick in. There has been some worldbuilding - a lot of worldbuilding, fair enough - but I've yet to see things falling together into an actual plot.

These 40% also included a weird public sex scene between a teenager and some old dude, no clue if this will be important but it kinda squicked me.
