This book is so good, a story so well woven… I hate knowing how it’s going to end up and still be at a point in the book where I’m not entirely sure how it’s going to get there.

As loathe as I am to admit it, the ballad of songbirds & snakes, although I didn’t enjoy it, is a required prerequisite in order to fully contextualize THIS story.

I’m bracing myself.

All these characters around Haymitch. ::dismay:: knowing where we pick Haymitch up in the original trilogy, I’m already braced for it. 😖

I think Seren is me. At least as far as attitude and snark. I’m digging this book, great little scenes to pull for scene work that are easily adjusted to be their own little bubble scenes. I usually get those from Kelley Armstrong books. The writing here is fantastic!

How are there still nearly 8 hours and a whole ‘Nother book in this story! Not a complaint. Mostly awe!

This is, by far, the most interesting. The games testing the mate bond are FASCINATING. And hot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is so… exceptionally sad. But she talks SO FAST. It’s an interesting angle, though. The story isn’t told from position of resentment and vitriol. It’s told from the position of a little girl who just wants her mom (who clearly has mental health issues) to be happy.

DNF’ing for now. I can’t do relationship miscommunications. They drive me crazy.

I want to love this book. The moments the two protagonists spend together are lovely and comfortable. The huge emphasis of drinking and drama are uncomfortable. I genuinely am not sure I want to do this for another 6.5 hours.

So many trigger warnings.

Not in a bad way, but I can tell this would take a lot of energy to do. I still want it, though. 🤞🏽

This book is hitting so many sensitive spots for me. Not in a bad way, it’s just… almost strange to see a lot of my thoughts and experiences in a book that I didn’t write.

I hope I get this.

Nora’s Kraken by Leigh Miller:
Am… am I interested in tentacles? 😳 Maybe.

Clearly this narrator did not consult with the author or other narrator of the related series. Everytime he mispronounces Zylas, it pulls me right out of the story. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Still entirely captivated. I might have to do this book. 🤔

I’m en-fucking-tranced. This book reads like a movie, with very vivid imagery and descriptions.

Just enough chaos to hook me, but not enough information to tell me wtf is going on.

I feel deep in this with the FMC.
