girl is severely angry for a very mild reason that everyone else seems to have handled appropriately & therefore decides to poison everyone on her shit list. boy tries not to fall in love w girl after she rejected him 10 times but fails miserably. boy looks for job away from girl but ends up working as her bodyguard. higher ups giggle in collusion.

i already love how this book is laid out - starting out with the skin & how women’s bodies were seen as an object, specifically in the early days of cosmetic surgery. the fact that the author is also a breast oncologist makes it even more powerful - add it to your list i have a feeling this is gonna be one i talk about forever
