At no point have I had a grasp on what is going on. I don’t think I’ve read a book that at 80% I’ve been so wildly lost of what could possibly happen at the end. I still have no idea which one is the real Charlie and cannot grasp what is happening with Thomas / Alison

So relieved that Charlie sees the window too cause that would have been a frustrating read, plus I don’t want the ending to be Eve was mentally ill all along

Ok really happy I stuck with it cause now I’m very interested and have no clue what’s happening. Written really well and very unnervingly, most creeped out / scared I’ve been reading a book in a minute. So many weird characters and everything is suss. Just as long as the dog doesn’t die..

Fucking Jenny or whatever her name is already pissing me off and I don’t care much for Eve yet either..

I think the writing style was so exceptional that’s what really engaged me. I kind of knew Josie had killed her husband and done something to Erin as soon as she turned up at the door. Similarly, once Nathan was gone, I was sure he’d be dead. Who owned that phone case actually? So weird cause not a huge amount shocked me yet for 90% I was sure this would be a 5 star for me, something in the end stopped it 90%

Ok something wasn’t perfect in the end, maybe it’s realistic. I don’t love the open endness like is Josie being true in any of it with Roxy? I didn’t really like Roxy she did seem off but I despise Josie so much it pisses me off she gets to go on living thinking she was in the right. Why did she bring the key to Alix’s? To tell her?

Hmm not sure how I feel about that twist, that the dad was an innocent dote on Erin’s stream, was the age gap a lie then? Cause he’s not innocent in that. And why did Erin’s room stink so bad if he was in there every night with her and what’s with the food just cause of her disability? Like they’re still being negligent at best, the dad too ??

So happy Erin isn’t dead, not sure extent of what happened to her but was v sad for a second. Hope we find out something about Roxy didn’t really occur to me before now that they could have killed her

Jesus I haven’t read a book in ages that had given me this many physical reactions, I’m literally gasping. This is escalating so fast and I don’t know if any of it is true and I’m 100% sure she’s killed Walter but I don’t know about the kids and she’s obviously far from innocent even in the story she is telling and that story is far from true

No way the neighbour kid would be like huh think I vaguely remember Brooke going missing or something as if that wouldn’t be huge news lmao but I’m nit picking just cause everything else has been so on point I didn’t think I’d be able to pick anything! Hopefully stays that way

Ok so there’s no way Josie is being honest, obviously. I think she killed Walter, he’s obviously a scumbag but don’t think he’d beat her and all. I think she’s probably the ringleader in their actions with the kids. What did she do with Erin though? I wonder if she’s even been alive, I think she has but got knows. Holding the info from Alix to get more attention re the kids

Super addictive read, not your typical story, I’m really into it and have no idea where it’s going.

Super engaging so far. Setting the weirdness well and written great, feels super easy to read and no idea where this is going / how it will get there (since the Netflix documentary thing is giving us insights)

Ok easy fun read, nothing mad, nothing deep. I liked the 🔪🎅 that was fun tbf but a whatever quick read, written to be satisfying. Think that short story before I read ruined short stories for me because they’re too short to get into the characters so needs to be amazing elsewhere and not sure this one was🤷🏻‍♀️ 60/65%?

I think there were a lot of places it could have gone and something didn’t sit right in the end, felt like it could have been better and despise the think the killer is dead cliche. At 80% I was thinking if this would be a 5 star, but I don’t even think I can give it 4 stars now? 70% cause I enjoyed most of it

Every man in this book is insane and that includes Theo and she doesn’t even seem set on him like still thinking about Noah at the end who was really insane?? It’s so silly. I really enjoyed this book up till the end tbh. Cat said none of them were there willingly but the book portrayed that they were able to get away fairly easily once they tried? I know that’s simplistic as there is psych aspects to it but ??

Last chapter ruined it!!! It’s not cool or interesting that Ian lived and the fact Noah would fuck off back to his away for weeks at a time job having the knowledge that Ian is still alive is ridiculous. No one seems to be bothered by that but that was by far my biggest issue with the whole thing. Someone pointed out that we never found out what happened to that delulu FBI woman and true and annoying. I think

If Noah isn’t sketchy he’s a creep, what a gross time to make a move???

Ok so why did Halley and Cat both recognise the Brockton lad in that way I’ve no idea

Part 2 and it immediately feels like we’re seeing a shift in her psyche maybe? The kids, the everyone immediately disappearing from the store, even saying the Jeep, either that or this is some weird cult that were prepped for her but given I already think she had some psych stuff in leaning towards option 1

“For gods sake, shut up already” sounds very like the voice in Cat’s head and hints from the Dr about split personality

I’m enjoying the Catriona chapters, it reminds me of SweetPea

Madness coming out and all that, I think she might have killed her mother and hurt her sister or something and everyone protected her

I don’t like Halley being like you could just fix this if you wanted like ok manipulation, that will be great for your relationship forcing him to have a child. Then he was like I won’t let you leave me, not very sly and a bit too in the face writing that the ex is obviously something sketch at best

I didn’t appreciate but I just didn’t really enjoy this read, I’d give it like 65% maybe that’s being generous cause I feel like it’s a classic and I’m missing something

Disappointed, parts were really good and obviously the premise was great but it was very long winded, someone said it forced you to really take it in, but I think it forced me to stop reading hence why it took me so long to finish. I felt no sympathy for the monster at the end and Frankenstein was a moaner even though he had good reason to moan like pls stop. I’m sure there’s loads of imagery of poetic stuff

Clerval being dead shocked me and I liked the Ireland cameo. But I’m confused why he is shocked Elizabeth has been killed, like he proceeded with all that what else was going to happen? The monster would never kill him as he’s the only one who can make him a companion and he made that pretty clear
