finally, a chapter keeps me hooked!

I just finished reading The Rape of Nanking before starting this book, so the details are still fresh in my mind.

Even though I was warned about how graphic it is, I wasn’t prepared enough. It feels like a copy-and-paste of the real historical events, and that’s really distressing.

Not like it’s not a page-turner, but it’s just too disturbing to binge

Don’t wanna be an uninformed hater, but there are too many other interesting books to keep reading this one. So, DNF 💀

Maybe it’s too early to say, but can’t help thinking that the author is quite biased. I’m expecting a book that leaned more on facts than personal interpretation. Will keep reading to see if i’m just being too judgy🤔
