I hate the use of the world teleport in a pre-industrial fantasy. It’s too modern.

I’m kind of tired of everyone being described as a “weapon.” Let’s get more creative.

I hate this narrator’s style. It’s very biting and the male voices are all low and mumbly.

DNF at the rape scene. *sigh*

Speeding through this. It’s on the edge of bend too gory for me at moments but it pulls back and it’s infrequent enough I get thru it. The nicknames aren’t annoying either. I’m loving the seafaring element!!

Finally. A real fantasy romance where they don’t talk like 5th graders. I’m so happy.

Finally some non-juvenile writing! 😭 I DNF’d so many prior to this after a a great stretch of reading. I thought maybe it was me. Thank you, thank you!

I had to DNF when a woman gets with an 18 yr old. It’s not ok. It’s not love.

I am zooming through this and enjoying myself immensely! TJR is hit or miss for me and this is a hit.

This is so cute; I had my misgivings when deciding to give this book a shot! But, I think the narrators do an amazing job, and that might be giving me the extra push on this book that so far doesn’t have a lot of plot.

I love this and its companion series so much. So feminist, and such a beautiful, beautiful world.
