I'm having my doubts about finishing this book. The story if fine, the prose fantastic. But the dialog just doesn't cut it; it just isn't stuff that guys say. Starting to feel like a Lifetime movie or a book for middle school girls. Actually, checking out the author's IG page, starting to cringe; heavy teen girl vibe.

Well written, a hard read at times but keeping me engaged.

tedious, though I'm starting to skim through the more excruciating sections. I suppose if one absolutely loves prose, (I do, but I also need some thing to happen to hold my interest).

a great cure for insomnia. one or two pages and my eyes are fluttering and phone dropping from my hand. If only he didn't meander so.

Good grief, why am I doing this to myself? So tedious. Each introduction of a new character or something interesting is a tease to keep going but ultimately returns to his pain in the neck grandmother and aunt. If only there were some glimmer of hope of satisfaction. But I'm a glutton for punishment I guess. At least I can count on this story helping my insomnia.

Didn't finish, It didn't hold my interest

This is starting to get long in the tooth. Reminding me an awful lot of Sinkiewicz's Trilogy (which I enjoyed when I read 30 years ago). I realize that Mickiewicz was likely an influence.
