Already not wanting the book to end and I’m still not half way through? Candice depicts the absolute truth of being the only one “in the room” so perfectly, and is so brilliant at making sure Queenie is an actual human with flaws and feelings. I don’t want to say goodbye to my mate again at the end of this book

Genuinely feels like catching up with an old friend, my favourite style of writing and I’m still laughing out loud with Queenie after all these years

It’s like chatting with an old friend you’ve not seen for a year, over a coffee both of you can’t afford but got to post on insta

Feels good to be back, even more so because Queenie is too!

- Pocketing so many one liners from this book
- Love the way the environment is described as I can genuinely see all of the details they’re describing
- can’t wait for the next baby nap so I can read more

Painfully self aware but incredibly quick witted, uber intrigued to learn more about Jolene and the “why” behind her behaviour. Already feel like Miley is going to break my heart

Incredibly witty and perfect explanation of the facade style pantomime that is the corporate world. Love her already 👏🏽

• love Vivian’s want to be her own person even with access to more opportunities & social circles than most in society
• love that she has a quick wit but doesn’t use it as her one personality marker (Wild Love’s Rosie 🤨)
• Dante is subtly funny, obviously powerful considering his position/the set up but it isn’t (or not yet) weird alpha kinda thing
• Dante’s internal thoughts are jokes

Look, I love Ford but I just CANT do it

Even Cora is a slightly redeeming part of this story but Rosie is insufferable and not even in a “she’s trying her best with what she has and using it as comedic material” kind of way.

Still enjoying Ford and Cora’s teenage over it commentary, Rosie needs to stop making giving a snarky response to everything her whole personality pls

They’re already all funny, and already semi in love with Ford. Bye
