What the helly !!

I’m so close but this whole love triangle is a MESS!

Had to pick such a long book to start 2026 with!

Cried last night to the passage about him reading her own writing to her and saying, “don’t ever tell me you can’t write again, that is my gift to you” and dying 25 days later……!!!!!!!!!

My first Joan Didion! A man at the library asked me if I had ever read her before and I said no, to which he then replied, “I have her name tattooed on my arm”

I’m not sure I’m quite at his level yet but I completely understand the sentiment. Her prose is so warm even though the book is about grief? I can see now why it’s titled as it is. More to come!

Ok ok ok this is going to change me - I love this book so much already and I can’t explain why. The pacing? The way it’s written? The characters? Motherhood is a wild experience and I can’t imagine the ways it does and doesn’t change you

I had to return this to the library but now I’m hook so I had to BUY THE BOOK! leaving this here to remember what page I’m on lol
