Finished book 2. The same. I like the stories. Frame story still unnecessary. Confused how the priest in the frame story was married. Wait I guess they’re Anglican in the frame story because it’s England and multiple centuries later? Anyway just posting this update feel like I accomplished something because the physical copy contains a trilogy so I can’t mark it done until after book 3.

Finished book 1. It’s from a parishioner so I will keep reading and I feel unfair roasting it. Frame story is CRINGE because it’s unnecessary and solely functions to make poor transitions and commentary for the actual content. A good book guides the reader to do that on her own imo. The content itself is giving Aesop’s Fables monastery edition. It definitely has some beautiful spiritual nuggets though.

didn’t read every word bc i don’t need to know that much science. casey says i have a lower risk of death bc of my daily step count so catch me being immortal. she is probably right about the problems endemic in our medical system and food industry all being linked to money and affecting everyone. oh well whatcha gonna do. eat unprocessed foods i guess? not likely
