“”Isn’t it strange how the world works sometimes? It’s never a matter of time, but a matter of timing”

Such a good book, I literally recommend this to any woman I know

I am actually obsessed

“worn red cover: we'd started it as a jokey little diary of what we seemed to know would be a summer worth remembering, but it quickly became an all-purpose notebook, filled with phone numbers, doodles, inside jokes, and notes left for each other that we would not tear out but just leave sitting there in the book, splayed open.”

This is so cute

“—because connection, like memories, came in the briefest of flashes.”

Got this book from Jess!!

“Maybe love shouldn't be built on a foundation of compromises, but maybe it can't exist without them either.
Not the kind that forces two people into shapes they don't fit in, but the kind that loosens their grips, always leaves room to grow.
Compromises that say, there will be a you-shaped space in my heart, and if your shape changes, I will adapt.”
So it seems I can’t read without crying.

“Also we’re sisters”, she says, “we’re stuck together”
“That too”
This is a romance book but it’s definitely breaking my heart in the sisters department. (In literally tears)

“This, I think, is what it is to dream, and I finally understand why Mom could never give it up, why my authors can't give it up, and I'm happy for them, because this wanting, it feels good, like a bruise you need to press on, a reminder that there are things in life so valuable that you must risk the pain of losing them for the joy of briefly having them.”
