Holy crap, the text of this book is SO tiny. It takes me like 10 minutes to read one page. XD But the writing is breathtaking. This really is one of my favorite movies so I'm happy so many adaptations of it exist.

Now that I have a whole 4 months left, how much I read from here on out will really determine my number for next year!! Scary XD

I've literally (figuratively) been sitting by my door waiting for my copy of Draw This Then Die vol. 1 to ship. I'm caught up with the anime so far and am literally (figuratively) foaming at the mouth for more. This is your sign to preorder the manga because it's literally my favorite thing ever. It is so cute and just lovely. T.T

(Being an anime-only fan mostly) I didn't know all that about Danny saving Jojo's life from drowning when he was a kid, paralleling the selfless sacrifice that Jonathan exhibits himself later in life -- it makes Dio kicking Danny and Danny's eventual fate all the more horrible;;

Araki is literally a master at having a surprising event happen once you turn the page -- i.e., page 31 shows Danny bounding towards Jojo and Dio, the last panel being Dio coldly regarding him... when you turn the page to the next right-hand page, it's a full page is Dio kicking Danny out of nowhere, an act you'd never expect and which quickly characterizes Dio. It's so masterful in writing, artwork, and pacing.

THE ANGST IN THIS BOOK IS MAKING ME WANT TO DIEEEEEEEEEEEE

I'm so bummed that my reading slump hit me so hard during my work's sumemr reading challenge. I can barely read for 10 minutes at a time right now, the vibe just isn't right x_x I wanted to read 200 books for the challenge but it looks like I'm going to cross the finish line with about 80. Sad!!! Just goes to show you should temper your expectations a bit to avoid burning out!!! XDD

My edition of Skull-Face Bookseller's omnibus edition was delivered today, and it's so beautiful I want to rip out the pages and eat them.
If you haven't read Skull-Face, this edition is BEAUTIFUL, and you get all the color illustrations and prom drawings that come with vol. 4 alone. I highly recommend it!

This might be one of my favorite books ever ngl

The way this is my second time reading this book This Year and this is STILL like one of the easiest 5/5 books I've ever read, it is so DAMN good and filled with so much emotion, incredible character dynamics and characterizations, such clever plot points and intricate scenes, yet so easy to devour -- I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

Doing a quick reread because my copy of volume 3 got here today and I forgot a lot of what happened!

This is still a pretty slow start, nothing too compelling happening yet (the slow burn and setup for political intrigue is definitely thorough), but I do think it's really compelling how the main characters have surprisingly good chemistry even though they've barely said two words to each other!

Ahhh, the beginning of this is kind of boring. Setting up so much court politics.
