I'm really impressed with Meatbun's ability to start a story at the end like this and already imbue in the first chapter all of these stormy, powerful feelings. It's only the first chapter, I don't even know any of these people, but I wanted to cry over Xue Meng's emotions and actions!! Really strong stuff.

I kind of want to up my reading goal... I'm almost at 400 books, and I've been reading at a pace of about two books a day (312/138=2.2ish). So I thought about making my goal 365 days in a year times 2 -- 730 books. BUT THAT SEEMS LIKE SO MUCH AND NOW I'M SCARED. Do I go for it!?

I went to go browse the Top Reviewers for this month out of curiosity and ugh... MOST of them are AI generated spam accounts... it disappoints me so much...

Two updates:
1. I was going to only work on library books today, but then my doorbell rang as Loving Moon Dog vols 4 & 5 were delivered from B&N, so that is immediately priority #1. XD
2. I also got some official Hypnosis Mic bookmarks delivered today and they are soooo cute. Cute new bookmarks are such a great way to break out of a reading slump. I cant wait to use them!!!

I gave myself a 4-day weekend, so let's see if I can get my CR back down to 10 at least!! That's my goal! XD

I was walking aimlessly around Sacramento today and of course my feet took me to a library branch on instinct, hence why my CR just exploded. *cries but also happy*

Okay I am loving this so much so far, but side tangent, I glanced at the back cover and noticed that the US retail price for this is a whopping 16.99?? This book is barely 150 pages long, it's thin as a stick!! Almost 20$!?! Really? I bought it from my local used bookstore for 8.50 and even that is kind of steep for a book this tiny! Yeesh!!

CHECKPOINT: Currently got 28 books checked out from the library, 11 to be returned tomorrow that I read this weekend! Good progress! On top of that I just stacked up all the manga that I've bought recently but haven't read yet and it amounted to 21. Plus I have 4 or 5 ARCs on Edelweiss to read. I'm gonna be busy for a while yet. XD
