This book made me so sad

I think I’m just over this genre temporarily and I don’t know why I keep trying 🤷🏻‍♀️ what are some good books for when your nervous systeem needs something light that do contain some depth? Tips are appreciated ❤️

Working through my ‘to read’ list and sweeping out what I no longer like 🧹 (it’s actually super interesting to see how much my perforation has changed in 3 years. I’m a bit over romance now and more into literature. Is this what developing a cortex is like?)

I feel so bad when I looked up the author and I then dislike the book. She looks so sweet with her little family but this book is nothing special so far. It’s forgettable. It’s a breeze that leaves my brain again.

So when do they kiss

Aaaah this one is so CUTE! Main capital C reading pleasure. I love Abby. I love ‘Mike’. I love that the main characters are finally two little cute introverts who fall for eachother and their own dorky quirks.

Call me biased, but my teenager self would have had more self love if I read this back then. I’m sad that it’s almost over

Decided to leave this one behind and follow up with #3, because I’m one of those weird people who is no longer interested in the background story if I already know from book #2 that they will end up together happily


(And yesssss I know that that always happens in romance novels don’t come for me)

So far, I’m sadly not really impressed. I prefer my witty, word-play, subtile type of romance over the ‘grabbing by the thirsty pussy’ type of book🫣

I get that it’s a college romance but why does Halle have to be drunk constantly? I’m already over it.

Ugh I was really excited about this one but Eleanor is so insufferable to me. Why do I need to read 70 pages about your lie of omission/not sharing? Also: I could see the ‘plottwist’ coming after page 20.

Will be a 2 star for me

Reading HEFT was a little bit too heavy for my gentle nervous system so I’ve fallen back on good old romance for now.

I can already understand the 4,28 rating. Reads as smooth as butter and I - for once - actually like the male protagonist!

Aaaah I’m so into it so far! Really excited that Jennifer Weiner is branching out from the Jewish middle age housewife trope! I feel like this is Daisy Jones and the Six in another format, but better.

Cara is on her way to become one of my favourite romance authors!!

This is a masterpiece and my favourite read of 2025 so far. I can’t remember being so completely infatuated with a book and rooting so deeply for the main character. Love love love, can’t wait to hopefully see a happy ending
