Picked this one up as a palette cleanser between all of the disturbing material I've been reading lately and I am loving it. Fast paced and the play by play dual perspectives has me so invested. I'm not getting any sleep tonight. Might as well settle in at this point 🍿

Ugh, I am really struggling with this one. I can't seem to get into it. I thought I was ready for dystopian fiction, but apparently not.

Wait, what now? 😳 What in the incest is going on here? And we are just getting started. Wow! Okay, I was completely unprepared for this. You have my attention 🧐🤯

The beginning of this book is a painful slog through character development but it is now starting to pick up pace.

Okay so romance is not my usual genre but I thought I would give this a go after seeing all the hype. My first Emily Henry book and I am loving it, it wont be my last.

The author of this books job is travel to different schools speaking to children about the importance of kindness. The problem is, I am not a child 🙄

The workplace bullying is not my favourite 😔 😤

There are far too many turtles 🐢 in this book 📖 🙄

Why does every point in this book have to be accompanied by a gym metaphor? 🙄 Surely the author has experienced more in her life than going to the gym. Or perhaps I'm just bitter because I'd rather sit on my fat ass reading this book than do anything that requires breaking a sweat

I still haven't decided if I'm a Hoover fan. Why does she feel the need to make every MMC secretly wealthy? I loved Atlas when he was homeless. The last book was about the bar man but he owened the bar and was building a fancy house. This time a struggling musician that has successful investments so is financially stable. 🤷‍♀️

Why is every FMC a red head? This is becoming a gripe that I have with literature 😡
In reality, red hair is rare but not in the book world. Every FMC has red hair and every MMC has piercing blue eyes 🙄

loving this. this has the depth of emotion that was lacking from the first book. feeling all the feels.

I am beginning to see the appeal of this book. A supportive group of women who all have their own trauma. ❤️

😳 wow! This book started off as word salad that I didn't feel I had the mental capacity for, then graduated to poetry. Now I am hanging on every word and desconstruting every sentence. It is pure word porn. I still have to re-read many sentences in order to make sense of them, but damn. It's worth the challenge for the level of depth those words penetrate in my soul.
