The fact that this book was written in 1993 about what was then the future (2024)… which is now our past, is already kind of insane to me.

Preps for ‘The Odyssey’

This feels like a history lesson on fast-forward.
But somehow this still manages to make me laugh every now and then.

Note;
I always got terrible grades in history, nearly cried once in class.

Only a few chapters in, and this book is already leaving a mark on me.

So far, it’s a moving story about grief, inequality, and growing up feeling like an outsider. Through the eyes of a 17-year-old Muslim protagonist, it explores the subtle prejudice many people face every day.

Heartbreaking, thought-provoking, and already making me reflect.

Vampires, dark academia, character growth, and a hilarious FMC with some genuinely sharp one-liners? Say less.

The pacing felt a little odd at first, but once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down. Some of the tropes might be cliché, but they worked perfectly for me.

If you love Fourth Wing and Zodiac Academy, this one is worth checking out.
