The Time Machine was quite enjoyable. I greatly appreciated the introduction and endnotes provided here (Alfred Mac Adam’s). I love sci-fi which wears its premise on its sleeves, making clear the concepts being explored or taken to extremes. Very fun in much the same way other old schlocky paperbacks can be.
I do think, as a political text, the premise itself is quite half-baked. Might revisit for my review.

Gradually reading through the complete Genji Monogatari - I read an abridged selection of chapters some time ago and loved it. Very good as a bedside book / long-term read.
