Struggling to invest in the book with the large number of names and stories. I appreciate world building and Tolkien is of the best caliber in that sense, but the LOTR books and especially the Hobbit allowed me to not fully understand some of the names and backround while still getting all of the emotion and narrative of the books. This book feels more punishing. Hard to get through the story so far
