So far the style of writing doesn’t grab me.

Shannon is starting The Bear Went Over the Mountain: Soviet Combat Tactics in Afghanistan
Hard read with some of the translations between Russian and English, but worth a read for any student of tactics and strategy.

Still can’t finish this book. I don’t like it at all. Neither its style, characters, plot, or anything. Every minute reading it is a minute I feel,is wasted.

Still trying to chug through this. Eddie just can’t get into his type of writing, though the information is good to read.

So far this is quite a boring read for me. It could be that I’m just older. I’m no stranger to reading cognitive psychology books and articles, it isn’t the subject matter that I find hard to follow. It’s the style of writing. It doesn’t flow for me. It jumps and side steps. It isn’t a clean narrative for me personally.

Seriously, the first chapter on Morse Code sold me. The author is a gifted writer and has a wonderful flow. Engaging and entertaining for the first 4 chapters.
