I need to read something chill and heartwarming after all these

I’m sure I’m also this annoying my head but OHMYGOD I cannot seem to like the protagonist

Everyone in this book needs therapy so bad

I would never make love, they would never make love again: perhaps that made us equal and they were trying to console themselves by depriving me of the only thing they could.”

So far it’s been a lot of examples of how some women became a mother though they physically did not give birth. When I picked up this book, I was more interested in the narrative centered around the women’s life without children, not with children. I feel a bit disappointed but I’ll continue on.

J and I have been listening to an audiobook version of this book since 2024 and we've made so little progress. Mainly because it's hard listening to innocent people being displaced and murdered by greedy settlers/colonizers.

After reading so many books that were just painful to continue on.. what a refreshing change. I've not been able to put this book down.

Too many bad things happening to cats like was that so necessary? Disturbing

I'm not so sure about this book but I've already read too much to give up on this... I shall continue on :<

Scary how many of her anecdotes related alcohol are similar to mine.

I personally am enjoying this more than her previous book. Probably because I’m unfamiliar with the Russian ballet world whereas I had been exposed to works that are set in Korea under Japanese rule.
