this book felt flat. the premise of it was good— troubled kid w/ no family x girl with terminal illness butttt the way it was executed made the story horrible. first of all, the dialogue in the book and the pacing were just terrible, it was like i was reading a wattpad fanfic (no shade)

idk i'm not enjoying this book as i thought i would. i usually like the enemies to lovers trope in fantasy, but he's just an asshole. like they SHOULDN'T like each otherrrrrrr or feel any type of way idc
