the pacing of this book is fucking perfect I’m literally buzzing with anticipation at the end of each chapter. I’ve never been more giddy reading a book

140 pages and 14 chapters in and I could absolutely keep reading. But I also have a desire to stop, to just sit with that last chapter, those words on the page and those perfect moments between characters, to just take it all in. I’ve genuinely been smiling for 10 minutes straight. This book is bringing me so much life.

thirteen pages in and i’ve already teared up twice

ok so page 223. The last line foreshadows to the connection between evelyn and monique and it’s not in a good way. Monique says that in less than a week Evelyn will finish her story and monique will figure out what this has all been about, and that she’ll want to kill evelyn. Holy shit. up to this point i’ve been under the impression that the connection between them is something heartwarming. Now i’m lost.
