Eindeloze details en beschrijvingen en een bijvoeglijk naamwoord voor bijna elk zelfstandig naamwoord. En dan nóg geen atmosfeer in het verhaal. Zelfde voor de karakters. Uitgebreide karakter en uiterlijke beschrijvingen en ik voel geen enkele relatie voor deze mensen. All just a bit meh.
Ook rare fouten (provocatietest, digitalis is geen gif)

I'm struggling with this one. The beginning was ok, but I have been at 70-73% for 3 days now. And I just don't want to read this anymore. So I'm taking a break.

This goes from disgustingly dark and grim to wickedly funny to absolutely hilarious. I plan to buy all the books (in English) and read them all in a really short time. The translation is actually good (except the title), but I have a feeling this will be full of great alliteration and beautiful sentences. And cursewords, ofcourse. They are always better in the native language.

Dit is zo'n zeldzaam boek dat licht en luchtig is, grappig en vlot geschreven. Het lijkt een standaard romantisch niemendalletje. Maar langzaam komt het echte verhaal naar boven en blijkt het over veel meer te gaan dan een romance. De motieven en het gedrag van alle karakters zijn begrijpelijk, ik voel sympathie voor iedereen, en belangrijker: niets of niemand voelt dom of simpel, terwijl het wel eenvoudig leest.

I can't read this anymore, i got so bored with this book. Book one and two were already a struggle but I just stopped reading. I tried every evening but just feel asleep so i only read like 30 pages a week. And after a month of this I started to forget names and places and it became even more difficult to pay attention to the story. I really wanted to finish this, but have decided that life is too short.

I really need a break from this book. It´s really beautifully written but I now need something quick and exciting to devour.

I jusi can't. I really hate reading this book. Awesome subject, awesome setting but reading feels like slowly trying to plough through quick sand. Or what I imagine that feels like. But really want to finish this. It's been haunting me for years and I would like to lay it to rest.

168. So far I love it. The location, the characters, but mostly the dark sense of humour that cracks me up. I'm not reading this because I want to know how it ends, but because I want to be there. and stay there for a while.

a horror story about parenting and family life. What if..... Worst case scenario.

A disturbed mind growing up with parents who already have an expectation of who he is, on completely different ends of the spectrum.
