I’m struggling to get into this one. I’m not connecting with the characters and I’m just trying to finish it.

This just came in the mail! Stopping everything else. Pride and Prejudice who? 😂

Listening to the audiobook and following along in the physical book has helped immensely 👌🏻

I want so bad to like this one. I want to see what all the hype is about. I’ve picked it up about 4 times now over the last year and tried to get through it. I think this is the furthest I’ve gotten. I’m literally getting headaches whenever I’m reading it. The old English is insufferable. I’m reading chapter summaries to understand everything. Why am I putting myself through this torture? 🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s so so so so good

Wow, first chapter. Already off to a strong, heartbreaking start. 😭

Wasn’t expecting this book to make me cry, but here we are 😭

Definitely more into this than the last time I tried to read it and ended up DNfing lol

This one isn’t for the weak 😅 Heavy stuff, but I’m here for it so far.

DNF around 60%. I would’ve probably loved this in high school. It’s a light & fluffy, clean holiday romance. But the main characters are just too emotionally immature and act too much like teens. Not much plot going on. Not for me.

Putting this one on pause for now. I’m having a hard time keeping up with the characters and the setting. There’s hardly been any romance and I’m 50% thru. I’m bored and don’t care about these characters, probably because I can’t relate to what they’re going through or the setting or the language. I want to read something more modern and easy to follow for a minute. Might pick this back up later.

Decided to give this one another go after DNFing at 50% last month.

DNF at 49%. I was just really bored by this book. I wasn’t into the story, didn’t relate to characters, found the plot boring.

DNF for a few reasons:
- This is a second chance romance trope, which I’m not a fan of.
- This is the last book in the Appies series, but apparently these two main characters are from the Oakley Island series and this book is a crossover from that. I feel like I’m missing a chunk of their story.
- I was bored and already found myself skimming pages to get to their first convo, which wasn’t until like 50pgs.
