SMUTTTT! I'm starting to love Claire and Delilah's relationship, especially after the sorta talked through their past in page 236. I'm excited for the camping trip and I'm excited to see how Astrid reacts to the 2 of them. I still think Claire will be Del's muse for the Whitney.

It’s getting good, I’m looking forward to what their plan is for Spencer. I know thanks to Meryl’s dogtags that the fun part is upcoming.

Why is Claire an ass? Josh and Ruby were having father-daughter time, and it’s clear Ruby is the one who painted his nails and did his makeup. So what if they’re up later than 9:30? Josh is rarely around and Ruby wants to have her father again.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I don’t think a woman in her late 20s/early 30s would be speaking like that.

A lot of “Claire said” and “Delilah said”. Kinda getting repetitive and annoying

Why do they keep saying “she’s a white woman”? Why does skin tone matter? We also see them on the cover of the book, the reader knows that they’re white

I feel like it’s kinda dragging in between memories and the present. And I guess yeah, that’s the point, to build suspense… But I’d prefer it if every memory was a chapter and then every ‘present’ was a chapter. That way it’d at least seem like the chapters weren’t dragging. I also don’t like how short the present is compared to the memories.

I’m getting a bit annoyed that at some parts there are no quotation marks and it gets a bit confusing when someone is talking and when someone isn’t.

SO much better. I'm now predicting that the Valors are the Fates (as seen in Aurora's diary, hence). LaLa is Jacks' sister (I think, from what I gathered from the diary)

So far, i'm getting through this MUCH faster than OUABH. Jacks is more tolerable, but Eva is still a naive idiot

I haven't been able to put the book down. But hear me out... Dante is Elantine's son. Yes, Legend is old enough to date nana Anna, but the Empress is 75... and right after Dante gets his powers, the heir is reunited. And his mom 'abandoned' him, as did El to her son.

I think that Paradise and Jacks swapped place (on accident or smth), and bc Jacks and Tella are fated to be in love, he realizes for the greater good that Tella wants her mother back and swaps place with her. So Jacks isn’t dead, just stuck. And Legend (Dante) would never let ALL of the Fates free, so Jacks is as good as dead.

I KNEW DANTE WAS LEGEND!!! “She’s our best hope for it, brother.”…. LEGEND IS JULIAN’S BROTHER (allegedly) AND NOW DANTE IS TOO. It makes so much sense, seeing how close they seemed to be in Caraval. We also wouldn’t have gotten to know Dante so well UNLESS he was a main character.

I think when Tella pulled the Maiden Death, it signifies the loss of Jacks. I know already that she is his true love (from the spoiler cover art), so it doesn’t make sense to me why she’s slowly dying, but I know that he dies because in the next book, she’s with Legend. The Shattered Crown supports this, choosing between her true love and Legend. Lady Prisoner: sacrifice Jacks for freedom and love with Legend
