Let me guess… The astronauts don’t have the gene, only Grace does, and Stratt didn’t tell him because she knew the others didn’t have it and didn’t want Grace to go on the mission. Either because she cares about him as a love interest or wants him down Earth for scientific research. I also feel Rocky’s announcement about him going home with the Astrophage is too good to be true. Something has to go wrong.

Rocky is gonna live FOREVER! I bet he’s gonna be so sad and depressed when Grace ends up dying.

If Rocky isn’t immune to radiation, why is Grace not worried about radiation poisoning? Like, I get that he has his little device that has Astrophage in it, but I doubt that’s enough.

I feel so bad for Rocky omg… But he and Grace can now cross sides!

So ready for the shoe that is the Creature to drop.

Aroace Grace showing??

The English is a bit confusing, but I'm getting the hang of it.

HE AND ROCKY ARE SO CUTE OH MY FUCKING STARSSSSS

I’m a bit confused how he got the time calculator thingi working, but other than that, I’m excited to actually talk to Rocky!

This number system is gonna confuse me

So it's a story about a story

ROCKYYYYYYY. Also jeez, 29x the pressure is insane, I'm really curious how they can interact. And HE SPEAKS IN MUSIC NOTES, that's so precious 🥺

I cannot WAIT to meet Rocky!

Why send 2 people who don’t have the gene markers onto a suicide mission??? And how is this a hard decision for Stratt, she needs to find 3 people who get along who have this gene… How hard is that?

I guessed it? Planet with no CO2?

Maybe the reason Tau Ceti is unaffected is because there’s no planet in its solar system that has CO2?

Sometimes, the writing style ticks me off, the physics and math are confusing, but so far, I'm understanding the plot!

I’m so confused by the physics 😭

I really hope Montag doesn’t get caught, but I’d love to explore a universe where he did.

30 pages left! I really hope Montag reaches a hobo-camp

I'm so invested, i only have 40 pages left!

Now that I heard the history of the universe and Beatty’s side of things, I’m really getting into the book. Pages 52 and 58 have some really deep hitting quotes that are still relevant to this day, about becoming so brainwashed by tech that we don’t see things for ourselves or critically think.
