And no, I'm not doing college yet. I’m taking a few gap years to focus on writing, work, and building a place of my own on my family’s land

I’ve been seeing some pretty wacky books come on my feed. Yes, worse than Close To You. Way…worse…to the point where I won’t post it on here because there are a lot of minors who are my friends/followers

Authors…I’m gonna hold your hand while I say this but - just because you have an idea for a book doesn’t mean you should write it

I just need a cheesy romance after reading the life-changing book that Project Hail Mary was

I’ve literally been reading this at every available opportunity, there isn’t a moment when I’m sitting down or laying down or just eating and I’m not reading this. Almost done and already predicting it to be a five star. Let’s just hope it holds out till the end

You know, I appreciate that Andy Weir capitalized “He” when a character was talking about his belief in God. Shows he has either some level of respect for either Christians or God - or both. Anyway, I appreciate it

I guess when the world is coming to an end, people starts getting horny. What do you mean EVERYONE thought Grace and Stratt were engaging like that?! And why is this line of conversation always coming from DuBois?! This dude’s got a problem

I think it’s so sweet when people send me a friend request and say “you’re so cool!” or “you’re awesome!"

Probably most of these are empty compliments but it makes me feel happy, especially since I’m really just a goofy, nerdy girl who can’t start a conversation to save her life and escapes reality with books and unrealistically fine fictional men.

You see, if I was taught biology and anatomy the way Andy Weir is teaching it right now, it would have made a whole lot more sense! But I guess my brain did retail a lot of the information I learned because this is all surprisingly not that confusing

Like bro, 1) I get leg cramps a lot, I don’t scream 2) If that makes you scream, I wonder how he’d react to a period cramp simulator

It’s startling hearing “holy f*cking sh*t” in my ears since I’m listening to the audiobook, especially since there has been little to no cussing so far, but I’d say, given the circumstances, it feels like an appropriate reaction

Ray Porter is really good at different accents, they’re so spot on. Totally recommend the audiobook along with this

I know I’m finding a lot of five stars lately, but honestly, I’m not angry about that or sad. I read for five stars! So if I keep getting five star after five star, then that’s awesome! And I have a feeling that this’ll be a new favorite. Always been a sci-fi girlie at heart

I’m only a minute into the audiobook and I already love the narrator. He’s putting so much inflection and emotion into reading it. It literally feels like I’m in the character’s thoughts

Y’all remember Mama Luna from Puss and Boots: The Last Wish? My mom met someone like that in real life. The woman said she had SIXTY cats. Yes, SIXTY. She said she felt like God was calling her to take in all the strays, so all the cats have their own barn/house, but she never turns down a stray and they just keep coming. Never thought ppl like that existed till I moved to the country

It feels like I’m watching an 80s movie, my favorite kind. Like Footloose vibes, but not about dancing and heavier. I imagine the town being similar to the town in Footloose
