Listening on audiobook while crafting. So far so good, I am enjoying the characters and their odd magical superpowers. The main character has a scarf that has a mind of its own, and she can learn about an object's past by touching things. Interesting plot.

I don't have a ton of free time today but already wow the reflections & inner world of this child bring me to a place of calm & clarity. I feel as this child feels. I am loving the imagery & level of visual/emotional description the author brings into their writing. Mom & child are telling of 'their church' - in the red tailed hawks, lucky strikes, cold water, running as fast as can be, tadpoles in tires. This got me

REALLY resonating with the attachment styles as I'm reading through them - Doing a zoom out, a bit of a reflection - looking at my behaviors & feelings. What I have felt in the past and how it has changed into different forms. Woah! This is a beautiful book - it's giving me tools to love deeper & maintain my own connections & security with my bitch ass self. Magical.

SO INTERESTING IM ONLY ON PAGE 8. I must go slow, I love the way this man writes! - very encompassing, I read dual meanings, many meanings. This is wonderful, puts my mind at ease, a sense of feeling like the world is bigger than me

This writing is so beautiful. Kambirinachi is pregnant with Taiye and Kehinde, the spirits are telling stories

Breaking & restoring my heart

I've had no time to read!! But I am lovingg this book. I wish I were in a less busy headspace & more open to feeling & being vulnerable while I read. & I feel as if it's too personal & so I refuse to listen on audiobook. There is one part where there is a melody that the character is unable to recall but shows up everywhere. Everything surrounding Kambirinachi is hurting my heart.This is my subpar update <3

Tayie is very loveable so far. & There are parts, bits & pieces of windows of the authors writing, of sensation & emotion that are deliciously & delicately beautiful & honest. Feminine, woman embodied literature. I'm reading this on my favorite little sofa chair, pillows, electric blanket, tea, chocolate, cat - everything a cozy loving being could need. Ah, I am excited to read on!

Listening on audiobook. Super whimsical evil characters, super cool worldly concepts about friendship & what it is to be human. Very epic imagery, each character has a certain feel to them. The kid in me would love a friend I can talk to in my head <3
