I'm a fan of closed door romances so this is a good listen so far. I'll admit I did have to push through the first chapters as it was a bit boring but now half way in and I can say the chem between the characters is great and the conversations between them does get a smile out of me occasionally. As the oldest sister in a POC family I'll also say that I appreciate that aspect of the character/storyline too.

I really like how he's written this so far. It gives a bigger insight as to how Jeffrey really was from the perspective of his father. I find it interesting how, at one point, he describes traits that could be associated with autism. I have never really heard of anyone talk about this, which makes sense as to why everyone had always said he was "weird". Lionel mentions that he saw himself in Jeffrey because of it.

I really like this series so far

I think this is where I'll stop with this book and add it to my DNF. I tried to get into it and read for as much as I could but I'm not really enjoying it. Maybe in the future I'll pick it up again. I did enjoy the authors writing though, I just think the multiple povs make it a little hard to connect with the main character.
