My god, saying ‘I own you’, grabbing her, yelling at her, using her desire against her. That was cruel of Simon.

Well Simon didn't handle that well. First trying to see how much she knew about sex, to see if she had worked out his plan to never have kids. Then he yelled at her. But that last part I know was due to years of resentment and pain and heartache involving his relationship with his father.

Yes I think they are really cute together, but it’s times like this when Daphne is being way too delusional. The man has always said he will never marry or have a family and she seems to think that’ll change for her. I mean, it does, but she shouldn’t think that.

Not a big fan of this part of the story, how she just didn't think to ask the quicksilver to make the relics and swords. That was stupid. Like, oh dear, silly me, why did I think of that.
She could have thought that up earlier in the story but Callie Hart wanted other things to happen in the plot before the sword was made. I don't like that.

Ok this is good so far. Great even. I’m intrigued. And luckily I was prepared for there not to be romance for a good chunk of the book, I was prepared for world building and context.
