again. i just read a TWENTY THREE PAGE CHAPTER to reveal something that was obvious about 4 pages in. like im interested in the characters and everything and the story’s not half bad but it is soooooooooo over done. everything doesn’t need to be explained down to the finest micro detail. like.

ngl this feel more overwritten than the last book. it took 40 pages to get to the point that she’s in loveless relationship with man who has the personality of a hard boiled egg.

… bruh the MMC started reading the FMCs favorite book series because he wanted to understand why she liked it and so that he could feel closer to her and understand her better😭😩 i cannot!

this book reminds me of how fun it is being black and the camaraderie that comes with being surrounded by black peers.
