Howard is 75% done with The Hollow Places

I’m 3/4 done and want it to be over. This is a terrible book- at least, in execution. The story is promising and started off interesting, but derailed quickly. I get that the humor sprinkled throughout helps horror novels sometimes, but good grief this is a painful mess of odd comments and reeks of a YA book. I’m just not sure what this is supposed to be, but an enjoyable novel it is not.

This has gotten to the point of being way too drawn out, and from what I make of it all so far- they’re not as close as the book synopsis makes them out to be! How do you forget your best friends kids names, like for multiple years?? I will definitely be happy to not hear about free diving ever again.
