Such a fun book so far.

This book is helping me forgive the ending of GoT. This is really great so far

So far pretty fun. I liked the switching of POVs of the serial killer and the protagonist.

This is really good. Very intriguing and unsettling

It’s a fun book that has a unique way of telling the story (reminds me of house of leaves)

But the way the book is written, at this point, feels very “tell” and not “show”. It’s just really hard to experience characters instead of being told what a character is like. It just isn’t as engaging.

This book slaps. I’ve wanted to read a book like this where all the characters you care about and having this slow build of tension and you can feel the sense of peril slowly permeating the environment the characters inhabit.

Thiiiiis was much more enjoyable than Maltese Falcon. So far so good

This novel is much leaner. And its honestly just alwys a good time dropping into Lehane’s world following these characters he’s made; even if it’s definitely moving towards something sad. I can just feel it haha

Great work so far. The staying power with this novel is Jade. She’s a great character and Jones has done an excellent job at developing her. She’s grown so much and Jones knows how to write her in an engaging way.

Dear past me: don’t poo-poo on a book so early on. Give it a chance.

This book is pretty fun. Love the Lovecraft elements and the noir aspects of the story.

I’m not really into historical fiction, but if it’s told like this, I’m into it. This feels like another 5 star read from Lehane

Gotten quite a bit better. Pretty easy to follow. Fun ride of a book.

Good lord. I was on a streak of some high star novels. My high from thst is crashing from reading this. Haha it may grow into me but so far; nothing. C

My first intro to Koontz and I gotta say; pretty great. Just taking a break from powering through Stephen King and I love the balance of humour and dark circumstances. I’m intrigued with how this novel will unfold

Digging in

Really like this so far. Wel see how confused I get with the multiple POV shifts haha

Just 12 percent in and this is amazing. I really love the non linear way of telling the story. This feels like a classic grim King story. And I’m glad I read Dark Tower cause some references makes more sense

I like the structure of this novel and it’s creative way of sharing info. That’s about it. It’s pretty goddamn cynical, even for Palahniuk. I’ll see how it continues.

So far it’s not my fave. It’s a bit of a side quest but even it being a side quest, it’s still building the world and adding more to the mystery and giving more answers.

Also wished I read Salems Lot before this cause Father Callahan came out of nowhere and I’m like “uhhhh who dis?”

Still good. I’m amped to finish this series

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOO

Dialogue is pretty campy. Very noir esque but not in a good way. Its still pretty early on and I’m wondering how the Lovecraft elements into the story get incorporated in. But I’m gonna wait on it and see if the story gets better.

Just the first chapter of this book in, and I just know this book is going to break me. I’m strapping in for the sads

I really want to give Hendrix a chance. Wasn’t a huge fan of the Final Girl Support Group but I hear this one is better received
