Halfway through this 10.5 hr book and I’m just wondering why they Jake cant just pick a new sponsor so they can be together? Too easy I guess. Not quite to the DNF- paused stage but getting close. Book is very long.

These names are wild - Aslan, Tallas, Diem, Rohan - fun but odd lol

The repetitive rambling thoughts are really getting old - especially mid conversations

I think I’ve come to the conclusion that Mason is just a pushover and is too nice to people - mainly his family who are all assholes. He also lets Sexy Sherif treat him like garbage/use him when it’s convenient. Mason needs a backbone and a man who’s not a coward.

With the number of plot lines going on, the inclusion of a chapter long wax scene was a choice. Also, it’s not that bad, Knife plz chill.

This book should be listed as a sequel to The Only Way to Dream (Destin’s story) there is so much involvement of the throuple and M’s whole backstory that makes this book not feel like the first of a series. Has been bothering me since the first chapter where I felt like I jumped midway into a book.

Ngl the ABDL stuff makes me feel a bit ill

Ch 11 why is Ricky just sharing his whole life story to a stranger - not realistic

Off the bat - if you are planning to move in together full time and yet cannot stand a 2 month separation without the fear of a breakup your relationship is not solid. Will not be reading book 1 just based on the first chapter of this.

The way this narrator reads texts is so annoying

Ch28 Z literally says all that matters is if it feels good for you - in context to how he is cheating on his wife with her son - ok narcissist red flag one thousand. Dnf.

Pausing as there was a lot of sheep talk and not enough actual conversations between characters

Pausing at chapter 8 - silly misunderstanding as the main “conflict” - lots of build up to Griffin not wanting to play and all the sudden he’s at the rink in his gear? Then he goes right into a competition? Idk just didn’t jive with the first few chapters of build up. Also Jack seems very immature
