The idea was interesting, but this is too basic to be enjoyable, I keep frowning and puffing a lot. And the resemblance to Harry Potter is uncanny.

I know how heavy that dagger is. Just as heavy as every paragraph with Selene's name in it.

OK, I just want to slap Nynaeve. How a person who does nothing to learn of new ways and abilities (aka gain knowledge), who threatens anyone who tries to help and teach her, who throws more tantrums than a 4-year-old can be a Wisdom? Honestly, she is the shittiest character there. She does not fit the role she is described to hold, which sabotages her whole storyline. She acts like an idiot who is full of herself.

So far I didn't dislike 2 pieces here. I don't know if that means that modern poetry sucks or it means that I know nothing.

And it doesn't really feel like poetry to me for the most part. More like short stories.

Not entirely sure why this book is called The Jungle Book. There's not THAT much jungle in it.

Audiobook: I feel like at one point author dropped so many names that I lost the track and still, time after time I feel like he mentions someone whose backstory (even if it was just a sentence) I missed. Otherwise quite entertaining.

This book makes me realise that I have really grown out of the rich, entitled male protagonists that are so often featured in ya novels, usually in the role of prince charming.

So far this book is not even nearly exciting as the first one, YA is pushing through all the corners and a character there reminds me A LOT of Gilderoy Lockhart.

It's really cool to read this book by the former first lady from a different country, culture, and colour and think: "Hey, we have a lot in common!" And realise that she grew up just like a normal girl and became this smart, beautiful and adored woman despite and because of it.

It's quite empowering.

I am a fuck giver. I give fucks all around me for things I should and things I shouldn't. I have now listened to the first chapter of this book and have been surprised. It is not exactly what I expected, but at the same time I can't explain what I expected. Will see how it goes.

Klinta is on page 20 of 253 of Batman: Nightwalker (DC Icons, #2)
Why does every single piece that mentions Batman have to set up his sad childhood with the depressing scene of murdered parents? Why do we have to be ensurer every time that he doesn't really enjoy much because of his childhood trauma? Really, I already knew that Batman is grumpy when I was 6 years old and watched the old movies. Repeating it million times everywhere since then hasn't gained much love from my side.

I struggled a bit with this. Each time I grew comfortable with the story, it changed and the parts didn't stick together. Of course, I decided to google, if by any chance this is a collection of short stories and found that it is indeed. Not sure if I should be disappointed as I hoped for a cool fantasy tale and found out that I have bought the prequel of memories.

I really hate the part with Felurian and cannot wait for it to end. But the more hopeful I get that it will end soon, the more sentences about how taut her breasts are, Mr Rothfuss writes. And what is even worse - I actually liked the book before this. But now my feelings towards it are turning sour.

I enjoy the second book more and I'm not sure if it is because it has more action or is it because there are more characters, so I don't get tired of Kvothe so easily. The romantic bits are as boring as ever though.

Master Elodin's opinion of Kvothe seems very close to mine. Kvothe is just as annoyingly perfect and/or perfectly lucky as in the first book. At least so far.
