Don't know why I ordered this from thelibrary, must be the social history I was drawn in by, have no recollection of it, but reading it anyway!

Was recommended this book by Phil who said "everyone must read this book". Had me intrigued so here I am, about to make a new friend. 'All we ever need is a good dose of the smiles', as told to me in a dream.

Loving my guide book. So far, have visited Street, Cirencester, Cheltenham x3, Portishead x2 and off to Clifton soon. Have previously done Letchworth, Hitchin, Bude, Clevedon and somewhere near Langport!

On cd4 of 6,very slow read, seems to be going on forever. Guess i need to do some longer journey's in the car!

On disc 4,taking a while as listening in car. So much more quirky detail in the book, as always. Or as Mr Polly would say :

Picked this 2018 book up about a blackout across Europe, obviously a work of fiction - but then, last week, Spain, Portugal and south of France experienced a total blackout/powercut and all the chaos that came with it. Just shows how vulnerable we all are....

Talking book, borrowed after came across the 1947 film recently.

Read previously few years ago, came across it again. With a transgender theme, this mystery is set in the 1880s, is an original concept and sympathetically written.

Just had to pick this up as resonated with me, the horder that i am - i call it sentimental myself!

Read a book review at airport about this novel so thought I'd try it. Suddenly it has got very popular at the library, let's see what all the fuss is about....
