Going into this with really high expectations given tons of folks in my circle loved it and all I can say: it's giving "not wanting to put it down" vibes, which is a hard thing for me lately. My brain is already putting together theories... Rafe is giving true villain vibes, Harlow's personality is strong and witty. Henry's close proximity is palpable. Will this be my first 5 star read of 2026?

Every single chapter is so intensional. Action packed, liking the pacing, loving how much time is spent on the little world building details and the originality of some of the magical creatures. The fight scenes definitely giving Witcher vibes and out main characters finally met; I can tell the romance will be tension packed. 🤓

Well, it’s not everyday you read about fecal matter floating in gravity. 😆

Off to a good start! Loving how Harper is bringing us back into the ending of book 2 but through the POV of Margot.

“I don’t need another chance to force someone to love me” GODSSSSSS!! This book is pulling at my heart so hard.

Such a feel good book.

Ti is giving Stefan vibes and Rorrik is giving early Klaus Mikaelson brutality vibes. I know our girl Arvelle is tired and going through the ringer but seriously, she let him fool her that easy?! The plot thickens!

I’m sat. Let’s just say the reading slump has been officially lifted with this book. The way Velle’s exhaustion is written: physical, emotional, all of it, I felt it in my bones.

I also went in completely blind and somehow didn’t connect the dots about the Primus until I accidentally saw fan art… so learn from me and avoid spoilers at all costs.

All I can say at this point… jesus 🥵
