I finished the Iliad, and all it’s descriptions of spears going through peoples brains and rattling armor as they fell, and the gods getting angry with each other. I’ll tackle the odyssey soon

Just watched the movie, now I’m working on the book.

A good installment to the series, transitioning from the previous long sequence of 3 books to a new longer sequence, establishing some of the big antagonists and storylines, while still providing some solid episodes of nautical adventure and spy work.

Some of the speeches in this play, particularly by Electra are intense, visceral and awesome. I’d love to see a production of this version.
