I really, really, really wanted to love this book, but after what feels like months of reading I feel like the plot has barely moved forward. Merlin has his moments, but he’s also kind of a little shit 😂 Sadly, I’m going to have to put this one on hold for now.

The MC is such a goon idk if I’m going to continue reading 🫪

I made it five chapters before realizing I had no clue what was going on. The writing leans so heavily on excessive description that the story itself gets lost. The only consistent throughline so far is: hot man exists, FMC short-circuits. I’ll be tapping out.
