That said, I’m not going to DNF it. I will come back to it eventually… just not anytime soon.

I actually liked it a lot at the beginning. I loved the kid aspect and the teacher dynamic, it really pulled me in at first. But somewhere along the way, it got incredibly boring, and it’s just way too long. At this point, even thinking about going back to it feels exhausting. I’m still technically “here” in the book, and I’ll probably be here for a while.

I’m currently stuck on chapter 28, and I’ve been stuck there since December. I genuinely cannot bring myself to go back to this book. I couldn’t finish it back then, and every time I try to pick it up again, I fail. It’s going to sit on my shelf for a while longer before I even attempt to continue.

what the actual fuck am i reading right now. this is the worse FMC i have ever witnessed. i’m only 20 pages in how am i cringing so much already.
