Ok so I got to the game show interview part and the book is much better when it’s being funny hunger games and not Sword Art Online’s American servers

So the first human Carl killed was a fat non-English speaking woman. Yknow I don’t love it

Haven’t finished the book but; this printing of Fahrenheit 451, I read online it has a foreword by Neil Gaiman and I looked in the book for it, but theres no foreword. Looked it up the newest prints have it removed, and yeah he’s a criminal but like isnt removing something from a copy of F451 kinda on the nose

Sometimes the it’s actually quite funny — it’s like five stars in my heart tbh but it’s also really dumb. Tall-dark-and-handsome slop lol Idk

This book contains a very funny juxtaposition where half of it is the characters dealing with racism in the time period (I forget when it is) and this is handled with the weight it deserves and the other half is the characters wandering into lovecraftian situations beyond comprehension and they are constantly just rolling with it. Hardly any hesitation in confronting the supernatural.

I hope the movie is good bc this book is fun, follow me on letterboxd for more lol
